DARLINGTON, S.C. - Faith Motorsports has entered the Racing With Jesus Dodge in the Diamond Hill Plywood 200 Friday night at Darlington Raceway, the team announced May 7.

The race attempt will be the first time the familiar green and yellow car has attempted a race in NASCAR’s Busch Series this year.

While the team was still putting the finishing touches on the car on Monday, it was expected to be ready to go by the time the team pulls out for the South Carolina track on Wednesday evening. The final touches were being put on the car’s new Barnes & Reese Racing Engine on Monday and the team planned to dyno the engine on Tuesday.

The #89 Dodge will be mostly unsponsored for its inaugural event at Darlington. It will feature the team’s Racing With Jesus logo on the hood, the words Racing For Souls on the TV panel and will sport several smaller decals of the companies who have played an important role in getting the team to the track.

Included on the car will be decals from Gulf Coast Filters, Speedway Engineering, Red Line Oil, ECO-FIRST, Amtek Signs, Extremeion, Victory One Performance and Heavenly Bodies.

There is still time to get your company or church’s name on the team’s car before Friday’s race. Sponsorships are available beginning at just $750.

The team is expected to arrive in Darlington Wednesday night, practice on Thursday and then quality and race on Friday. The Diamond Hill Plywood 200 airs on ESPN2 beginning at 8 p.m. on Friday.
