DOVER, DE - It wasn't the Top 20 finish that Faith Motorsports was looking for at Dover Speedway on Saturday, but it was a major improvement over the horrible luck the team has experienced during the past month.
Fielding a new Robert Yates Racing chassis that had not been to the track until a week earlier at Lowe's Motor Speedway, Morgan Shepherd ran mid-pack during Friday's practice sessions.
The car, despite falling behind early in Saturday's Helluva Good 200!, ran lap times comparable to the Top 10 finishers as Shepherd steered the #89 Chevrolet to a 22nd place finish.
"We finally got it handling about half way through the race and were turning good lap times," Shepherd said. "We will take the same car to Nashville and should be pretty good.
