LOUDON, NH - No, you weren't seeing double Saturday afternoon at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. There were two Racing With Jesus cars on the track for the first time, but plans are forming to run both entries several more times in 2010, the team said.
Morgan Shepherd drove his familiar #89 RWJ Chevy while fellow Nationwide competitor Johnny Chapman pulled out a backup RWJ entry bearing the #75 for the race weekend.
Chapman, who is filling in at Herd Racing while Brett Rowe recovers from leg surgery the next few months, will likely pilot another Racing With Jesus entry in three weeks at Gateway International Speedway near St. Louis.
The double entries allow the Faith Motorsports team to develop crew members, test and tune on it's cars and share information that can help the #89 entry better as the season progresses.
The joint effort between the Faith Motorsports and Herd Racing shops will likely continue for several races this summer and fall provided both teams are consistently able to crack the starting fields.
